What goes in the empty space to our left again (clouds?)? The guy’s gesture leads my eye upwards, and I fixate on his hand – I’m not sure what goes on the other side of the painting, if anything. Though in experimenting with cropping the thing visually to include just the guy, the grey sky does ‘balance’ the composition a bit, as opposed to having points of interest throughout.
Maybe that’s what the rest of the painting should be…
An oncoming bus
An angry repiratory therapist getting out his aggression
An NFL Star on the move!
Anyhoo, I think I like the composition, but I agree that my eye follows the hand, but really wants to go to the empty space. Also, I don’t know why, but I feel like this is just one of many falling nude bodies – like I could see others behind him in various depths of the sky just falling.
